ADHD Evaluations at Access Health Services
Living with symptoms of ADHD can feel frustrating, overwhelming, and confusing. Many people struggle with staying focused, managing responsibilities, organizing daily tasks, or feeling like they are constantly falling behind, but they may not realize that ADHD could be the reason. At Access Health Services, we provide comprehensive ADHD evaluations to help children, teens, and adults better understand their symptoms and explore the right treatment options.
An ADHD evaluation is an important first step toward gaining clarity. Whether you have been experiencing challenges for years or have recently noticed changes in your ability to focus and manage everyday life, our team is here to provide compassionate, personalized care throughout the evaluation process.
What Is an ADHD Evaluation?
An ADHD evaluation is a comprehensive assessment designed to determine whether symptoms align with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that can affect attention, impulse control, organization, emotional regulation, and overall daily functioning.
While many people associate ADHD with difficulty sitting still or being easily distracted, the condition can look different for everyone. Some individuals may experience hyperactivity and impulsive behaviors, while others may primarily struggle with focus, time management, forgetfulness, or completing tasks.
At Access Health Services, we take the time to understand the full picture. We look beyond individual symptoms and consider how challenges impact your school, work, relationships, and daily routines.
Signs You May Benefit From an ADHD Evaluation
ADHD symptoms can appear differently depending on a person’s age, environment, and individual experiences. Some common signs that may indicate the need for an ADHD evaluation include:
- Difficulty staying focused on tasks or conversations
- Frequently losing items or forgetting important responsibilities
- Trouble with organization, planning, or managing time
- Feeling easily overwhelmed by everyday tasks
- Procrastinating or struggling to complete projects
- Difficulty following through on commitments
- Restlessness or feeling like you always need to be moving
- Acting impulsively without thinking through consequences
- Challenges with emotional regulation or frustration tolerance
For children and teens, ADHD symptoms may appear as difficulty completing schoolwork, trouble following instructions, frequent distractions, or behavioral challenges. For adults, ADHD may affect professional responsibilities, relationships, household tasks, or personal goals.
If these challenges feel familiar, an ADHD evaluation can provide insight and help you better understand what you are experiencing.
Our ADHD Evaluation Process
At Access Health Services, we believe evaluations should be thorough, supportive, and centered around your individual needs. Our goal is not simply to identify symptoms but to understand how those symptoms affect your life and determine the best path forward.
During an ADHD evaluation, our providers will review your symptoms, medical history, personal experiences, and current concerns. We may discuss areas such as:
- Attention and concentration
- Daily habits and routines
- Academic or workplace performance
- Emotional regulation
- Sleep patterns
- Family history
- Previous mental health experiences
A complete evaluation may also include questionnaires, rating scales, interviews, and additional assessments to gather a clearer understanding of your symptoms.
Because ADHD symptoms can overlap with other conditions, our team carefully evaluates the information provided to ensure an accurate understanding of your mental health needs.
ADHD Evaluations for Children, Teens, and Adults
ADHD is not only a childhood condition. While symptoms often begin during childhood, many individuals continue experiencing ADHD-related challenges well into adulthood. Some adults are not diagnosed until later in life because their symptoms were overlooked, misunderstood, or managed without proper support.
At Access Health Services, we offer ADHD evaluations for different stages of life. For children and teens, an evaluation can help parents, educators, and providers better understand learning and behavioral challenges. For adults, an evaluation can bring answers to lifelong struggles with organization, focus, productivity, and managing responsibilities.
Receiving an ADHD diagnosis can be a meaningful step toward understanding yourself and finding strategies that work for you.
What Happens After an ADHD Evaluation?
An ADHD evaluation is about more than receiving a diagnosis. It is about creating a plan that supports your overall well-being and helps you move forward with confidence.
If ADHD is identified, our providers can discuss treatment recommendations and available options. Depending on your needs, treatment may include medication management, therapy, behavioral strategies, lifestyle adjustments, or a combination of approaches.
We understand that every person’s experience with ADHD is different. Our team works with you to develop an individualized care plan that fits your goals, preferences, and lifestyle.

I've been using their services for years after being referred by a cardiologist. Since the pandemic, having access to tele appointments has been wonderful and convenient! It can take a while to find the right meds or combination of meds that work for you, but once you're able to identify that, the frequency of appointments and length of appointments does go down. At this point, it's relatively routine, painless, and convenient to maintain my prescriptions through tele-appointments. Dr. A listens to your concerns and isn't dismissive like some other doctors can be, which is really appreciated!
